Visitors from around the world put Granite Links on their "must play" list when traveling to Boston.
Granite Links Golf Club is one of the premier golf courses in Greater Boston. Golf Digest named it a "Top Ten Best New Upscale Golf Course in the US" upon its opening in 2003. Not long after that, the club was named with such national notables as Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass, Bethpage and Kiawah Island to the 2010 Golf Digest list of the "100 Greatest Public Golf Courses in America!"
Granite Links’ Members have priority access for booking tee times. Public play can be requested four days in advance and for no more than one foursome at a time. No public access on weekends prior to 11:30 am when the club is exclusively available for Members and their Guests.
As the name indicates, this is a links style course, situated atop what were once actively mined quarries. Remnants of the quarries will be revealed on the course in the form of granite outcroppings and some rather impressive water hazards – some of which run 40 to 400 feet deep!
Links style courses originated in Scotland, where the game of golf was invented. They were typically built close to the ocean and are known to be sparse of tree and rich in wind. They also characteristically have challenging bunkers and fescue grasses that can swallow a man whole! At Granite Links, you’ll find all of these features, but with our own modern day lush interpretation.
